Default Video Clip of MIT Players on HBO Real Sports

Here is a high quality, 15 minute video clip of MIT Team members Mike Aponte and David Irvine on Real Sports.

***Entertaining with interviews from both sides of the table.

***Hidden camera footage shows members playing in the casino using the BP-spotter approach. This is how it is done.

***WATCH MIT MIKE GET BARRED!!!

Well worth the 6-8 minute download time. Plays on Windows Media Player. ENJOY!

It's a fun video, but it's getting tiresome seeing the MIT team and "whiz kids" getting credit for inventing the well-known BP strategy, and even implying they invented counting in general.

It really bothers me seeing people get popular credit for things they did not create. These guys seemed to do nothing to correct the myths, of course.

A decent ad for the blackjack institute, though. I wonder why the actual link to the video is concealed?

Default The Hot Shoe

The movie The Hot Shoe also has interviews and hidden camera footage of some of the MIT guys. It's a very entertaining doucumentary if you like counting cards.

Al Francesco was doing that 20 years before . What also annoys me about these videos, how they picture themselves as always winning every time they hit the table, variance and EV become mythical notions.

I agree, and I panned this video on another site. This is not the right attitude nor a good example for AP's to follow.

If I was going to make a video on how to play blackjack, it would start with me running sims of various games, then selecting one. Then I'd print out my index and spread charts, and finally, counting out $10,000 to bring to the casino.

Fast forward to the casino. I'm backcounting, trying to get into a game, and when I finally do I lose 3 hands in a row. There's another scene with me being verbally abused by a ploppy because I split 9's. Finally a nice run. But I give most of it back on the next shoe...

Six hours later, I'm sitting in the parking lot of a motel counting out $10,672.50. It's been a great night! This is a real card counting video. For the sequel, I'm going to show what a bad night is like.

The person who was filming was the editor, she told Mike she was ready to leave; it was 4 am and then they started to vary their bets to let them see what being barred was like. Of course they are not going to show negative things on TV.
