Chabad rabbi: Jews should kill Arab men, women and children during war
Chabad rabbi: Jews should kill Arab men, women and children during war
By Nathaniel Popper, The Forward
Like the best Chabad-Lubavitch rabbis, Manis Friedman has won the hearts of many unaffiliated Jews with his charismatic talks about love and God; it was Friedman who helped lead Bob Dylan into a relationship with Chabad.
But Friedman, who today travels the country as a Chabad speaker, showed a less warm and cuddly side when he was asked how he thinks Jews should treat their Arab neighbors.
"The only way to fight a moral war is the Jewish way: Destroy their holy sites. Kill men, women and children (and cattle)," Friedman wrote in response to the question posed by Moment Magazine for its "Ask the Rabbis" feature. Friedman argued that if Israel followed this wisdom, there would be "no civilian casualties, no children in the line of fire, no false sense of righteousness, in fact, no war."
"I don't believe in Western morality," he wrote. "Living by Torah values will make us a light unto the nations who suffer defeat because of a disastrous morality of human invention."

This fruitcake Friedman is a great example of how nutty a bible basher can become. He starts off believing the bible is the word of god, and after reading and studying what god does in Job in the old testament, he follows suit, follows the script and mouths the same nonsense. Friedman demonstrates exactly how the bible can truly be a force for evil.

interpeter interupted
I would have to say that it is not the book but the interpeter that is skewed. Most books that deal with religion are left to the person reading it to interput it's meaning. Unfortunatley alot of people don't have the skills nor education to interput meanings in these books, enter the zealot. blackchipjim

That is God's job...isn't it??? Oh, yeah, I nearly forgot, zg IS GOD.
zg is ONE; God is ONE; ZG IS GOD. And so are YOU and I ONE; WE are ONE with ZG. If only I can remember when to capitalize ME, or I, or YOU know what i mean.
I'm schizophrenic, and so am I. It's all becoming clear now.
PS--I'm kidding, zg. I believe it is worthwhile studying the ways of the Eastern mystics. There is something there for everyone.

Being Godlike
I would be in a humble state of mind realizing that I thought like God. That is what we are suppose to achieve when we are here on earth so the journey to heaven is joyous. I don't think that very many people achieve that level of understanding but I've heard that some have. I would trully be blessed to love my fellow bretheren without resevation like my Lord. blackchipjim

In my humble pondering about the nature of God I can only come to the conclusion that in heaven there is suffering, not physical, but of the heart. Maybe happiness and joy abounds, but surely there is suffering. Either that, or God and all the saints simply ignore the living, and that seems unacceptable, in fact, incomprehensible to me. az
