Here’s a little blurb from today’s (6/10/09) Minneapolis StarTribune:

Arkansas, Indiana, Nevada and Virginia don’t allow smiles for license photos, and more states may follow because facial recognition software has trouble matching smiley photos with others of the same person.

Personally, I never smile for my driver’s license photo. I figure I won’t be smiling if someone asks to see my license.
