As a new card counter, I have visited AC only a few times, playing table minimums ($10 or $15) most of the time and betting $50 or 75 maximum when counts are really high. It is amazing that I can get free hotel room (by phone or online) from some casinos in AC. I have won a handsome amount of money (a few thousands) by backcounting (Hi/Lo) and wonging in/out.
Last week, I went to Mohegan Sun and found that surrendering was quite attractive and saved me quite some money (especially when the counts were high and I had stiff hands facing dealer's 10). As a result, my daily winning at MS is a little more than that from any casino in AC. However, the penetration depth at MS was really poor (2 or 2.5 out of 6). Most of the money I won came from when one dealer cut 1.5 decks out of 6. I would do much better if the penetration could be improved. I did try to search for better penetration at MS, but was infutile because most dealers there cut the decks according to the mark on the tray.
Now based on the useful information from this board, I decide to give a try at FW because of its good pen and surrender. My question is: Is it possible (and how) to get a comped room for a new player like me, or what is the lowest rate do I expect to pay? Thanks in advance.
