US Spent $400M To Evoke Iran Revolution
CIA has Distributed 400 Million Dollars
Inside Iran to Evoke a Revolution
WATCH VIDEO NEWS REPORT ON YOUTUBE
Former Pakistani Army General Mirza Aslam Beig claims the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has distributed 400 million dollars inside Iran to evoke a revolution.
In a phone interview with the Pashto Radio on Monday, General Beig said that there is undisputed intelligence proving the US interference in Iran.
“The documents prove that the CIA spent 400 million dollars inside Iran to prop up a colorful-hollow revolution following the election,” he added.
Pakistan’s former army chief of joint staff went on to say that the US wanted to disturb the situation in Iran and bring
to power a pro-US government.
He congratulated President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on his re- election for the second term in office, noting that Pakistan relationship with Iran has improved during his 4-year presidency.
“Ahmadinejad’s re-election is a decisive point in regional policy and if Pakistan and Afghanistan unite with Iran, the US has to leave the area, especially the occupied Afghanistan,” Beig added.

$400M doesn't seem like much since I've been reading about US$TRILLIONS.

That's Aslam Beig, not Aslan Beig, in case there's any confusion.
I wonder why he is courting Iran's favor? Looking for a job, maybe?
Anyhow, there is ample precedent that some such activity is going on. Heck, that's what secret intelligence agencies are for! No? Why would we want an anti-American regime? Duh!
The trouble is that we have a habit of shooting ourselves in the foot when we try to finesse things in our favor. Still, would it be better not to try to influence events? Is passivity a viable or sensible option?

Probably not, but recent US invasions of two nearby Arab/Moslem countries probably wasn't a sensible option either. Especially in the light of the reason for one invasion was based on lies. That unfortunate error will no doubt be addressed officially through the normal channels when Obama apologises for George, soon.

So what's wrong with a revolution? Those people have been getting crapped on by their government long enough, don't you think?
Running the show is an idiot who wants to play nukes and claims he has mystical visions at the UN. Competent leadership is rare in the Islamic world but Iranians are not savages and they are capable of finding something better than that.

Wait, I never said we shouldn't nuke the towelheads!
Just that I don't consider everyone from that part of the world a towelhead. Believe it or not, Iranians love blackjack, and I have sat at the table with many Farsi speakers in the US. Most of them would celebrate if we dropped a nuke on the Iranian mullahs and Ahmadinejad (towelheads) and allowed them to take their country back to reason.

The vast majority of Farsi speakers I've come across are Persian Jews.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I'm not sure how representitive they are of the 99% of the country that doesn't share their religion.
