Default Are any of you guys able to get comped rooms on Sat. nights

in AC? I haven't had any luck thus far. It's really annoying too because I used to be able to get them not even several weeks ago and of course this happens to me when I need it the most since my friend is having a bachelor's party on 8/1.
I can't believe that despite being an ahem.. *good* customer, they want me to pay like $300-$379 (depending on the property) for the room!

I can get it, but it's not easy, especially if you are strictly a table game player. I went from Gold to Diamond at HET properties in 2 trips mostly by plowing through on full-pay VP games during +EV promotions. VP is a valuable skill for any AP and easy to learn.

It's harder in summer for sure. Recommend Trop and Hilton for the easiest rooms.

What stakes were you playing VP at if you don't mind me asking? Also what kind of +EV promotions have you seen. I get slot dollars sometimes but that's as far as it goes when it comes to +EV VP unless you count things like 3x comp dollars

I'm not But I think I made a tactical error. I only play rated at one casino, while playing unrated at 3 others regularly. The one casino (a boardwalk location) has provided me with rooms any night of the week and all the food comps necessary. UNTIL JULY! in july my comp offer went to sunday to thursday only. And for august I didn't even receive comped room offers...just a "special rate". I don't really care that much as I tend to play less in AC during the summer anyway. It's just too crowded for me.

By only playing rated at one location, I may or may not have missed out on another property being more liberal with their summer offers.

I play at the $1 or $2 level, preferably $2, and yes that 3X comp is good enough. Last time I was playing 10x cashback at Showboat. Plus the misc. slot dollars and promotions and discretionary comps you pick up for VP play, definitely worth it.

Just don't get an addiction! I've heard that VP is the most addictive form of gambling.

(If they had 100 hand video poker for full pay JoB, I'd be in VP heaven)
