Double Deck penetration...

The short of it: COULD SOME ONE PLEASE PLEASE PROVIDE A LIST OF CASINOS IN VEGAS WITH A MANDATORY 3/4 PENETRATION..




I am kinda confused. No one here addresses the issue of penetration. I bring this up after one of the most frustrating trips i have ever taken to Vegas. (Could be that since i finally horned my skill and feel supremely confident and know what to look for, my frustration switch sets off really fast)... What really shocks me is how i have previously gotten away playing some of the worst black jack games in vegas and not lost my shirt...

I favor Double deck BJ. But for the life of me i couldnt find a single good casino with penetration of about 1.5 (or 3/4 of the deck).. I even had some buffoon dealer explain to me that he was worried he would run out of cards if he put the cut card at 3/4. I called him a liar and got up and left. (The relief dealer i found at the table was doing 3/4 but at the Rio this isnt the norm. They deal you half the deck) Spent 4 days hunting and walking in that hot F@cking heat looking for a good table and could barely find one. The one place i found at the Orleans just happened to have a newbie dealer cutting at 3/4 and some drunk bastard put the kibosh on my counting 1 hour into the session.


I dont think penetration is discussed nearly enough. Guys i know you already know this. Its almost impossible to beat BJ if you have such nazi style penetration like is prevalent on in Vegas.

Well i had a tough time in 3 days in that vegas heat including that pussy of a heat wave on tuesday..(i almost died in it). I could hardly find a good game.

May be i was wrong to fool around on the strip, but some folks gotta know some places where i can get a good game off the strip.

It's poor etiquette to give away casinos with good pen on a public board. Players want to protect those games that's why you haven't had a response. Seek and ye shall find!

Let us say that you find a decent Vegas game but because one department of the casino is not really communicating with another, this game OK rules, average pen, can be a nicely positive EV game to the basic strategy player.
Sharing with one person, who tells another, who tells another etc etc, can easily burn the game out in an instant.
Do you share?
Do you return before they figure it out? (hopefully)

I return and keep my personal ATM just that till they close it.

There is good reason for this. Games have been getting worse and worse over the years. People are starting to realize that they need to preserve the few good games that exist. Good games exist, but your not gonna get many people on this board telling you about them. Also, Vegas is NO longer the place to play...
