Now, now mjb. Let's cut this forum rookie a little slack. Although he must be advised that broadcasting pen could very well kill the game he's touting, he may not even realize what he's doing. It shouldn't take too long for a newbie to realize that pen, dealer procedure etc. are NEVER to be discussed in open forum; nevertheless, it just might take some a few weeks to learn that.
Conversely, anyone that's been around these parts for any length of time and does the same thing should have their scrotum boiled.

Bad idea to broadcast this stuff. Keep quiet about it, and those beautiful cuts could make both the casino and you lots of money. You want the casino to benefit from it, and benefit they will. Unless every card counter around comes out of the woodwork. Then they won't benefit. Rather, they will place that cut card further from the back, making your game less profitable.

Brag about it to the world, and anybody within reasonable distance will swarm the game, especially if it has a reasonable max bet, and the casinos won't feel so good about offering such lovely deep pen'.

Granted, there are casinos that offer cuts like those that have stood the test of time, but it is best to not take chances.

*** pen is 1/2 deck on 8,6,4 deckers. DD is 1/4 or less. FYI:devil:
I'll take his post with a grain of salt, seems to me the OP had no idea what he's talking about.

Reason:
1,The joint doesn't even offer 4 deckers

2,The DD game has a -.9% off the top disadvantage and low max.

P.D.

I was thinking along these lines, too.

Admittedly its been a long while since I've been there.

But the DD was one of those $25 min, no mid shoe, no spread from one to two hands, double on 10 / 11 only...

And I thought that the shoes weren't that great either. Decent pen, but not enough to make up for the horrible playing environment.
