Somebody beat me out of $1 in comps.
Last week I played VP at a Harrahs location and after checking my points earned, reckoned I'd earned $5 in comps.Yet, the next day my comp balance read $173, an increase of only $4. I've been around enough to know what it takes, and I'm sure it was $5, not $4. But for $1, I wasn't going to make a big deal about it.
Then I started thinking, if Harrahs does this to every player, every day-just taking a dollar per account,it adds up real fast. I'd guess several hundred thousand people a day earn comp dollars at Harrahs worldwide.
Now, suppose it isn't Harrahs, but only a rogue computer programmer who has figured a way to move the fourth comp dollar earned in a day from the players account into a different account. The guy would be beaucoup rich in no time and few would even be aware they were being robbed.
Think about the billions in player club cash sitting idle, and get cracking writing those programs.
