Default The new season

Finally the new season is here! And I'm not talking football. After Labor day, AC begins to thin out. Table minimums drop, at least during the weekdays and the ploppies can go back to playing the $10 tables, leaving more room to maneuver at the $25 tables. October will be even better, but September is a start. No more cooler, beach chairs, beach umbrella's and best of all fewer kids on the train.

It will be better in that respect, but we can count on AC shutting down most of the tables and keeping them as crowded as ever, with a smaller selection of good dealers.

Default Ac

Someone on BJ21 posted that the casinos in AC are petitioning the NJCCC to permit them to close all their tables games daily from 4am until 12 noon - at least until next summer

What fools. But that's the way they do it in AC. They shut down so many tables at those hours they might as well all be closed if you are an AP looking to get into a profitable game.

They're so obsessed with slots, they just cannot bring themselves to believe their old slot players are all gone, sitting in front of even worse slots at converted racetracks, and they're never coming back. Or maybe they believe that the table games players will find the tables all closed or full, throw up their hands in frustration and start playing slots.

When gambling started in AC, it wasn't 24 hours. I'm not sure when they started the around the clock gaming, but perhaps they think less will bring in more. From what I understand, Bally wild west Annex shut down the table games months ago overnite during the week.
BTW- I can't find any source for this report so I'm dubious about it. You'd think the AC Press would be on a story this big.

Default Slots and Table Games

Well Auto Monkey to be honest, in the month of August I was so frustrated trying to get on any blackjack table that I DID start playing slots. I hit for over 6000 in the past 1.5 months and it IS helping my blackjack bankroll. What do you do stuck in AC for 3 days and nothing to do?

Monday the pit called Wild West from Ballys to reserve a Spanish 21 seat for me. I am hoping this weekend it is easier to sit down and play and maybe not feel like i am in China (no offense to anyone) but what happened to the regular players????

Not play slots, unless you are an advantage slots player. You can backcount, you can Wong out of games, pretty much anything you have to do to get in a good count. Or you can learn to play VP for an advantage, if you need to play a machine.

I play SP21 too, and the WWW is one of the better places to play it. It is a game for foreigners for sure, most of whom are only playing it for the sidebet, which gives up a 3% house edge, and the way they play the main bet the HE can't be much less. At least at SP21 you don't have all the macho, mustachioed middle-aged men who believe they are blackjack experts and cuss and threaten you when you do something they wouldn't do.

At the Trump Plaza they moved the SP21 tables into the Asian game section outright. In case you haven't noticed, Caucasians have mostly outgrown gambling on the East Coast and what you have left are mostly people from cultures rife with superstition, addiction, and general poor planning.

I've definitely noticed that as one who speaks English, I've been the minority at many BJ tables in AC this year. Not the dice tables though, but it's probably just a matter of time.

good luck
