Can you beat this game?

#1
Hey Ive heard you can beat this game called blackjack tie. Left side tie pays 15 right side tie pays 20. They took it out from one of my local casinos because they were losing but its still at another local casino. If you can beat this game how would you allocate bets? Do you need to count?

Thanks guys

Just guessing: +12TC HiLo calibrated to 1D, anyone? zg
I think it would be much much lower than that. You play lucky ladies with a true count of +7 and the payout on this is much higher. Do you know something FLASH1296?

It's a much more complicated sidebet than you may realize.

Yes, counting is necessary, and not simple counting either. You also will need a special playing strategy intended to maximize ties. I'm quite certain it's very beatable but public discussion of uncommon sidebets is embargoed under the unwritten AP code.

That would be Section VI, Subchapter 12 , Paragraph 4 of the UAPC.

Wow sorry not trying to be rude but I was expecting to get much more specific detailed info plus experiences considering Ive heard that the best card counters in the world use this forum. So I guess Ill try again and try not to sound so unworthy. When the count is good I will place 50% of my wager over the 20 tie bet which pays 25 to one. At which time I will use the basic strategy given in the card pictured.

So far is this correct?

What does the true count need to be before I place the side bet?

Has anyone beat this game, and how did it go?

If I cant ask this question on this forum here can someone please redirect me to where I can find the answer?

Thanks guys

AMonkey: "It's a much more complicated sidebet than you may realize."

Really? Looks like the "Tie on 20" would be about KO>=+28 or HiLo>=+6. The "Tie on BJ" sidebet would have a lower index. Performance boostable by tagging 2 thru 8 as +1, Ten as -1, Ace as -3.

AMonkey: "You also will need a special playing strategy intended to maximize ties. I'm quite certain it's very beatable"

Nope. The "Tie on BJ" should be worth $50-$60 an hour (email me for the index) if the counter can bankroll it (unlikely--the Kelly fraction would be 1/350th of the edge), but the "Tie on 20" looks like a waste of time, even if you try to maximize ties.

BTW, Degeneerit, you are questioning the knowledge level of the counters here, but your own proposed playing strategy is clueless. The basic strategy chart pictured has nothing to do with betting on a "Tie on 20." If you have wagered on a "Tie on 20," it would be pretty stupid to stand on soft 17. The BS chart you show is for a different sidebet, obviously.

Oh, the tie 20 bet is not based on first two cards? zg

I think the game was profitable and got crushed when it was first introduced. Even ploppies with half a brain had a positive expectation.

The rules have since been changed and most of the payouts have been lowered, making the game worthless.

Drop me a private message if you want more specifics.
