Redhawk

I haven't found any real information on Redhawk casino on here. I used to hit Thundervalley on a regular basis, but as I have been learning (still quite the noob), those CSM's are murder. Redhawk has all ASMs and seem to get pretty deep into the decks. I was wondering if there was anything I should know that would cause me to shirk this casino as well. I know that there used to be talk of Thundervalley stacking their decks with extra 4's, anything like that out at Redhawk as well?

Thunder Valley has been given a clean bill of health after a complaint to the California Attorney General's Gambling Control's enforcement office. Extra 4's have not been clocked on the double deck games since. H17, D9, DAS, and 75% penetration with ASM's here.

RedHawk's double deck offers H17,D9 with 60% penetration, but no doubling after splitting. "Chips Play" are announced at $100, but two $75 bets are not a red flag. No heat at each casino, if the player is not a pig.

I appreciate the reply. Thanks. I generally play the cheaper 6deck shoes owing to my rather meager bankroll and lack of counting. But maybe I'll work into the $25min double decks at TV. It's literally right down the street from me. Ive never seen anything there about not being able to get a mid-shoe entry.

MrDelphiki, I forgot to mention that no mid-shoe entry exists at all double deck games at Thunder Valley and RedHawk.

Stacked decks at Thunder Valley

Holly s##t!!!

Went to Thunder valley first and last time the other day. I used to play a lot (200+ hours a year), but quit when all playable games were gone by 2002. Excitement seeing 75% deck penetration on the double deck games turned to pure shock seeing then change cards without spreading each deck face up across the table and the dealer going through verifying each card with their index finger.

huge red flags here:
1. The guy changing the cards was not the pit boss, he came there just to change the cards and left.
2. He opened each package at the pit boss station, removing the junk cards (jokers, ads, etc.) only delivering the both decks together to the dealer, who puts it in shuffling machine unchecked.
3. Was not paying much attention, but the boxes for the decks did not look like the Bee brand cards used in every casino. Later saw poker decks changed and the were clearly Bee brand.

No way in hell are they dealing a legitimate deck 75% deep!!! Only 1 guy checks the decks, come on? Changing money and chips are clearly laid out on the they table for the pit boss and camera to see, but new cards are not (unlike every other casino in the world)?

Only played for 2 hours, the count did not get all that strange, but it only takes 2-3 cards to screw you up. This place is clearly suspect.

If anybody has any more info on this please post it. First time ever I have seen a fixed game. Wish I had read this thread before going.

yeah, the dealer said the guy who brought the cards inspects them. I had a suspicion due the 75% penetration, decided not worth playing after seeing new cards brought in.

In Reno / Tahoe you have the nevada gaming commission, no way would they risk a stacked deck. I wonder if this is happening at other California Indian casinos? They are probably within their rights to use whatever deck they want. I will drive the extra 2 hours Reno now.

Also, watch what they do to the used cards compared to Nevada: they don't count the cards for missing or damaged cards. They put cards from each table in the boxes from the new decks, then mix the card boxes together in a larger box. i.e. destroy the evidence. In Nevada, I've seen this hundreds of times, they put a rubber band around the cards from each table and write the table the cards came from (presumably if the gaming commission checks).

According to the California Bureau of Gambling Control, a player can request a countdown of the decks if requested. The double deck automatic shuffling machine counts all cards and accounts for 104 cards or a red light appears if not all cards are counted. So if they are stacking up decks, what cards are being replaced? One time I noticed 9 fours appear and complained to the commission who put Thunder Valley on notice. Noticed no monkey business during a followup trip and all aces and 4's, 5's were accounted for. Maybe they are back to their old tricks again and will have to review the games again. I agree that it's suspicious that all cards coming into the games are not inspected by a pit boss, dealer, or players. I asked the Special Agent of the Attorney General, Jerry Brown, what do they have to hide with this procedure? The agent went to Thunder Valley to discuss this issue with the tribe and assume they ran a clean game now.
