Gold Strike Tunica conditions

I checked out the conditions at Gold Strike Tunica on Sunday May 22 at noon:

On the main floor:

1 single deck, H17, RSA, Rule of 6 (sometimes better), $25 - $5K
3 two-deck, H17, DAS, RSA, 50%, $25 - $5K
20 six-deck, H17, DAS, RSA, 75%, $5, $10, $15, $25-$5K.

In the high limit room:
2 single deck, H17, RSA, Rule of 6+, $100-$5K
2 two-deck, H17, DAS, RSA, 50%, $100-$5K

The single decks look decent, but the two-deckers are cut dead center.

Looks like i'm gonna have to take a trip to Tunica, some of those games look quite enticing. Ken i have a question for you. Wherever i play the dealer let's me virtually cut where i please within reason. I understand what penetration is (the more you have the better your chances are),so are you guys referring to average penetration?


P.S. I'm not a beginning counter, I've been at it for a year and I can clear about 2 or 3 grand a week with about 12 to 15 hours of play, I use an unmodified KO Blackjack with a side ace count.

When there is wide observed variation of penetration in a single casino, I'll usually indicate the penetration as a range of values, like "50% to 65%".
The upper end figure is usually the most valuable for low to mid range counters who can shop around for the best dealer in a house.

Things are often different at higher bet amounts. Of course, any penetration is just an estimate because things are in constant flux.

Gold Strike was annoyingly consistent with that 50% on the 2Ds.

Ok, I am a new guy, but I'm REALLY interested in this. I assume "RSA" stands for "reshuffle after all" hands. Correct? If that's true, and these people reshuffle after every hand, how does card counting help?

I know you guys have been at this awhile, but if you'd indulge a newbie, I'd sure appreciate it.

I need to add a glossary for these abbreviations.

RSA = Resplitting of Aces allowed.
(You'll still get only one card on each ace, but if that card is an Ace, you can split again.)
