fml - first back off

It's lateish - maybe 2 or 3 in the morning. This was my second shift yesterday - I played for 7-8 hours, went home, and went back to the casino. I circle the tables for a while, wonging out of a few shoes and I get a great count vs this awesome older female dealer with a migrane that I'd been chatting with a lot. I play at that table a few times but aside from the one shoe - which I destroyed - I had to wong out pretty early. One hand the RC dropped to -7 on the first hand, next hand I get AA, split an pull two 21's. Wong out immediately as we're already at TC-2+. Anyway, there is this attractive female speed demon dealer and they are just about to close her table but I go to sit down and they say "do you want the table X?". "Yes" is my curt reply. I play her heads up. The first shoe I just min bet, there's no count really. The second shoe gets hot and I bet it heavy. I crush it. The next shoe goes great, then the relief comes. He's this old dude, looks like he's been around the block. I start getting bad beated immediately, and he's holding his hands in a weird way on the shoe. Maybe I'm paranoid, maybe they're cheating. Whatever. He deals a shoe and it gets retardedly negative early, like worse than I've ever seen, but I don't want to leave because I want to play against the speed demon again and again and again. I've never played a -TC that bad, but I did okay, mostly because I was making up indice plays on the fly. Hitting 14 vs bust cards, not splitting aces, whatever. Probably not the right plays, but I'm paranoid as hell that this guy is cheating me. I think he grabbed the deck w/ the mechanics grip. W/e. I'm probably just delusional. Anyway I manage to beat him, min betting in a massively negative count. It was pretty bizarre. I don't win much, but I win. I never raised my bet of course.

She comes back. The shoe gets hot early and I've got my bets out there. I get 44 vs a 3 and split and resplit with double downs - I'm already up pretty big on the shoe. After the hand the pit boss comes over and tells her to shuffle. ****, I've been made. "You shoulda done that before the last hand" I laugh to them. The female pit find this VERY funny. The pit who made me just looks disgusted, probably at the fact that everyone else was too incompetent to notice what I was doing. I let her shuffle. First hand I get blackjack vs a ten. "Hurray! Blackjack!". I leave. I cash some chips out from a few cages and go to the poker room, then change my mind and exit the casino. As I'm walking out some exec comes up to me and tells me I am welcome to play any game in the casino aside from blackjack. I shake his hand and depart.

Playing 7-8 consecutive hours? Could you make it any easier for them? Playing short sessions is the key to longevity!

At what count did you split 44 vs dealer 3? I play 3 dozen indicies and that isnt one of them. I imagine the count has to be petty high for this to be profitable. Anyone?

TC +6. But he makes indexes up, so I doubt the count was this high, especially early in the shoe ...

It was between TC3-4 I think. I was betting two spots of 8 or so so yeah that sounds about right. Didn't know the indice was that high  whatever dealer still busted

Now what? Who knows!

Anyway who cares about longevity, it was a crap game - bad pen - might as well burn it out asap. I took them for six figures in two weeks. Is longevity worth passing that up?

If I could find full hilo figures online I wouldn't have to make up my own indices

CVData says +6. I wonder if splitting was +EV but hitting is > +EV? It would be delightfully ironic if I got backed off because of a -EV play.

You're making six figures counting cards, but you can't spring for $20 or $30 to buy a book with the full indices?

Actually I ordered

1. Blackbelt In Blackjack: Playing Blackjack As A Martial Art -
2. Big Book of Blackjack
3. Blackjack Essays -
4. Professional Blackjack

today. Although I already gots me the index now from CVData. Doesn't look like there is much useful difference between full and illustrious 18 as described at blackjack drills.com - as many people have said.

Roughly 1-6-12-16 or 1-5-10-15.
With that sort of bet spread, playing all, in a terrible game, using the wrong indecies and making up indecies they probably should not have kicked you out. You may or may not be playing with an edge.

I almost always wong out a -1, which is why I had no idea how to really play the negative counts, and pairs come up so infrequently so.... trust me, my game is +EV ;)

I'm at a loss of words on this thread.

Making up indicies and the way you talk in this thread are worrisome.

And given the amount you are up in two weeks, we're not talking about a red chipper here.

I'm not your papa, I hope you know what your doing.
