If you had the choice?

The casino i go to has two blackjack table options. The first is 2 deck and then 6 deck. The 2 deck is face down, other than that the rules are the same. Dealer must hit till 17 and you can DD on any 2 cards.

Which game is better to play for a counter?

And please explain if you can.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

There has to be some range of penetration for it, it can't be just completely random. And if it is find a game with a very deep cut and you have your answer.

It could be completely random, I was playing a DD lately where some dealers would cut 55, some 85, and anywhere in between. Their 4 and 6 deck also ranged between half a deck and 1.5 deck cuts, again completely depending on the dealer.

Look for the great pen and get the money out. In Breaking The Tables In Las Vegas Ian Andersen said if he had to choose he'd take the shoe game. He also made it very very clear how extremely important pen is.:joker:

Ok well you didn't give the full rules but if the games are S17,DAS,DOA then the house edge is .18% for 2D and .40% for 6D. So all things being equal take the DD game.

However like AM said pen is the next important factor. Another thing you must consider is the heat. Will the casino sweat the DD game and leave the 6D game alone or is the heat the same for both. It really depends on the casino as they are all different. It comes down to a case of know your casino. The DD game will have more frequencies of high counts and another thing is that it is preferable to have less players on the DD game. A full table at DD will cause the shuffle to come around too quick giving you little opportunity to raise your bet.

No One Answer

Work both the games based on what many have said.:joker::whip:
Depends on:
penetration
number of players
speed of dealer & other players
heat
wonging in and out opportunities
min & max bets and your bank

If one only considers SCORE they are missing real world variables!
