noob needs help

Hey Gang,
Sorry if I ask any dumb questions but I was planning to visit the casinos (leisure trip) this week and was curious about trying a few different counting methods. I don't want to risk money without at least knowing some of the basic stats. Also, I don't have software yet and am wondering what the RoR and probability of me making 10 units is with the following:

50 unit BR (I know, I know not enough), 1:8 spread with I18 F4, S17, DAS, $10-unit with either HiLo, REKO, or FELT (not sure what the STDev or EV is either). Oh and I'll try to wong-out on negative counts, but I'm not planning to back count to get in.

Any stats would help. Thanks and I appreciate the wealth of information on this forum...

50 units? On my last session I was betting more than that one a single spot. Playing two spots.

No surprise got backed off

oh yeah I'm totally unprepared haha. I am going down just to have fun but wanted to try out counting. I just wanted to know how bad the RoR is for such a small BR. 50 units is the only amount I can muster up on short notice. I plugged the numbers into the free CVCX calcs and came up with 85% chance of me making 10 units off of 50 units with the default win rate and stdevs.

again, i don't know what to use for those values since I don't have any simulators. i was just thinking of trying out REKO. it's an 8D shoe, S17, DAS. I was planning to do a couple 500-round sessions.

I'd suggest just counting for practice and flat betting unless/until you get ahead by X number of dollars and can afford to up the anty. Then if things start going bad go back to flat betting. In fact I think that's what I'm going to do from now on. Screw this bet with the count until you break crap.
