It's the same as their competitor over at Cache Creek. It's a really schitty game there too though I've beaten it heads up with HUGE spreads. Dumb clucks up there let me play heads up and spreading large bets.

Did well there in fact the last time but I may quit going there altogether. Except that my band has been offered the possibility of a gig there. The six deck shoe game is probably even worse believe it or not. Dealt to barely 50%.

A better choice is Twin Pines in Lake County. Kind of a drive though and no other casinos within less than a 45 minute cruise. Twin Pine has a new building. There is a two deck pitched NDAS H17 D10/11 only. Often dealt down to 75% w/ 10 buck min. Their six deck shoe game DAS DA 2 is playable w/5 dollar min and often dealt close to 80%. Both pay 3:2.

Konocti has a decent six deck shoe. Pays 3:2 but I forget the other rules. Probably double any 2, H17 etc.

It's still there. One table. The same old crapjack that infects Las Vegas. H17, of course. Table very crowded. Not a good sign.

It's debatable as to whether Irishman "beat" the game or got lucky. 6:5 is a tough hurdle to jump with card counting.
Seems to me the main problem (in beating it) is finding a heads up game. Once I found these kinds of tables I have always done well. But they fill up quickly and with even one other player in the game it screws the whole thing. She starts shuffling every two deals and there is no significant penetration. Two huge problems instead of one.

Heads up? They were dealing really low into the game. And maybe it's because this game usually is full they didn't seem to notice me spreading wide.

IF I do this again (and that's a big "if") I would cruise the scene looking for tables that just start opening early in the day. Or when to expect a table to open in the early afternoon. I don't get out to NV much but it seems like they may have more chances to play this diminished returns game heads up.

Except that NV pits are probably wiser than my locals are. Hard to pull those 20 to 1 spreads like I was doing.
