Unique side bet

#1
There is a side bet at one of the local casinos in Las Vegas that I haven’t seen elsewhere. It is a DD game with good rules and good penetration. If you’re first two cards and the dealers up card totals 19 or 20 you are paid 2 to 1. If the total is 21 then you are paid 3 to 1. A 6-7-8 pays 30 to 1 and three 7’s pays 100 to 1 (I think). Aces are treated as 1 or 11, which ever works.

I was wondering if there may be times when it would be advantageous to place this bet, such as when the count turns negative or when there is an abundance of aces remaining. Anybody do any sims on this?

Even if you somehow KNEW that your first card was an ace, your return on this bet would be .69 for every dollar bet; so you can forget about beating this bet by keeping track of the aces. It IS possible to gain a tiny edge by keeping track of the sevens, however; but it's debatable as to whether or not it's even worth the effort.
