Default First Trip to Las Vegas - Low Roller $1-$5 Blackjack -

First Trip to Las Vegas - Low Roller $1-$5 Blackjack -

I'm taking my first trip to Vegas soon. I'm a low roller and will be there for 3 nights. I have a BR of $3K between BJ and hold'em.

For BlackJack I've looked at the Wizard of Vegas site and found many places with a low limit ($1-5) so I can really control my spread well. I'm just wondering what is everyones favorite spots for low-rollers in Vegas that have favorable rules.

This will be my first time playing out of a show and I'm wondering if there will be a lot of heat for a 21 year old Canadian in Vegas in low roller games ?

In my List I have:

El Cortez
Fremont
Longhorn
Las Vegas Club Casino
Golden Nugget??
Palace Station
Sahara
Silver Nugget
Gold Spike Casino
Slots-A-Fun

I will be playing Hold'em:
Flamingo
Hard Rock Casino

Just throwing in that hold'em info because I'm excited for Vegas.

Forget the Las Vegas Club. It has no decent BJ.
I don't believe The Nugget has any $5 tables, and The Fremont has no decent games. I don't think Slots of Fun does, either.
Will you have a car? If not, forget The Longhorn,Palace Station and Silver Nugget.
The Sahara game is fun for $1, but it's not a game to try to beat with a spread. It's a game to play while drinking a few free beers.

With a small bankroll, I would actually recommend back-counting shoe games.

I don't think you'll get heat spreading, say, $5-20 or $5-30, as long as you don't play more than an hour and a half or so.

However, my stupid ass friend played a single decker for four hours and got flat bet playing low red chips. So, stay long enough, and eventually they'll catch you.

Downtown is quite sweaty.

$1 minimum tables are found at Gold Spike, Fiesta, Fitzgeralds,
Sahara, Poker Palace, Slots A Fun, and Skyline.

$2 minimum tables are found at The Longhorn, Klondike Sunset, Club
Fortune, Arizona Charlies-Decatur, California Club, Hacienda, Vegas
Club.

$3 minimum tables are too numerous to list.

Expect only the worst of rules and poor penetration.

Red face So what should my strategy be for my first trip?

Should I 'back count' and camo myself as being intimidated by casino blackjack as it is my first trip, then jump into at a favorable count?

What is a good place to burst my blackjack cherry?

I'm wondering what is a good first Las Vegas blackjack casino for me.
