Shuffling after 1-2 decks played.

Is the game against the player when the dealer accumulates 1-2 decks in the tray and then puts them in the shuffler (for a 5 deck game)? Yesterday when I lost money, that's all the cards they played (I noticed this near the end of playing). Is this bad for card counting?

Negative penetration...Absolutely terrible for card counting...your best bet is to find a game that goes as deep into the deck as possible. Of course this is not always possible. Do they do it every time?

I had a feeling that this wasn't good for counting. I don't know if they do this everytime. I was there again today (and went in with $100 and left with $225). I might go again tomorrow morning when it isn't busy and check it out. When I noticed the quick shuffle, it was a busy day/evening. I have a feeling this casino always does this though. Our casinos in BC, Canada are apparently tighter than in the States. My friends and I might start crossing over into Washington and check out the casinos there sometime this summer.

When they reshuffle decks, do all the decks get shuffled or just those ones that were used? How do they all get shuffled and then only a deck or two make it through? I know it's a stupid question; but, someone has to ask them.

Not a stupid question, however it would be tough for anyone to answer if they have not been to that casino. I am sure that they will do whatever is beneficial to them if they can get away with it

If I get a nice, friendly dealer, I'll ask if they all get shuffled. They answer all my other questions when I ask something.

That is usually the best way to find out. The dealers are there to help :D

I went back today and lost my $100 (oh well). I asked the dealer if all the decks get shuffled and he said yes. He also said that after one deck, they put them in the shuffler. If my understanding of True Count is correct, I would then need a running count of at least +8 to get a True Count of +2 (so I can increase my bets)? That's hard to get when you see a lot of 10's and Aces, as I did this morning (I didn't count though). This is kind of bogus for the player then. Is there any way that we as players to get them to play deeper into the decks?

I haven't been to other casinos in the lower mainland to see if this is the same or not. If it is (I'll for sure check them out once I get a good grasp on counting), I may need to do some trips to the States instead.

Unfortunately, that game makes counting pretty much useless from my point of view. If you can get them to deal deeper into the deck please let me know how you did it :D

How deep do the American casinos deal?

Has anyone gone to the Nooksak or Muckleshoot casinos (I think that's how you spell them) in Washington State? They have buses that go down regularly from the Vancouver area. Do they deal deeper into the shoe? I do know their slots are looser than ours up here.

According to my research some deal through until there is about 1-1.5 decks left...depening on how many decks they have in play.

Sorry but I am not familiar with the casinos you are asking about...
