Shuffle tracking discussion

#1
My local casino (I live in South America) offers the following:

1) The discards are for this 6 deck game:

A1
A2
A3
B1
B2
B3
C1
C2
C3
D1
D2
D3

Where each layer is ½ deck and A is the cutoff (1.5 decks)

2)After breaking in 4 piles A,B,C and D and riffled and restacked they become:

B3 + C3
A3 + D3
B2 + C2
A2 + D2
B1 + C1
A1 + D1

Each layer is 1 deck.

3) My plan is to track D1 (0.5 deck) with a value of TZ1 and A1 with a value TZ2=-(RC at cutoff )/ 3 and:

a) if TZ1+TZ2 is very negative (great number of high cards), cut (A1+D1) to the top and play with an IRC of –(TZ1+TZ2) as if there’s only 1 deck and after this first deck continue as usual.

b) if TZ1+TZ2 is very positive (great number of low cards), cut (B3+C3) to the end and play with an IRC of TZ1+TZ2 and 5 pseudo-decks

I need comments on this approach. Is there any better approach to this situation?

Thanks a lot,

BJFan

This is one of the best, if not THE best way to approach the shuffle tracking game. This ALONE should double your earning power as compared to straight counting, and more importantly; cut in half the level of heat you receive (You'll be making your biggest bets right off the top of the shoes!). As far as techniques for the more complicated shuffles, and techniques for further enhancement of your advantage(such as EXACT card location); these are some of the things that you will not find anywhere in print (yet), and that are best NOT discussed on a public forum.

However, after you've done this for awhile, and if you allow the right side of your brain (the creative side) to take over once in a while; you'll probably discover most of these things on your own.

After you start to feel comfortable with tracking, try to keep the count of D1, D2 and D3 (the first 1.5 decks dealt). Then you can choose which one(s) you want to play against. That will give you more choices and more opportunities to find good advantages. As Sucker said, you will start to find other ways once you get a feel for it.

Sonny,

You read my mind, that's what I was thinking about after sending my post. The only doubt I have is if it's worth tracking packet D3 as the dealer burns 5 cards, I think I'd loose accuracy here.

Thanks,
