Just finished a 3 day 4th of July gaming extravaganza vacation to one of the nicest summer spots in the USA. I had planned this well in advance and had a comped suite with the best and most coveted room for viewing the 4th fireworks from our private balcony. For the full extent of the trip we paid nothing for food or rooms. The weather was excellent and allowed me to bring the Max along for some splendid motorcycling during the day.
On the BJ front I was feeling good and playing good, getting into the zone with not much effort.....and it showed with some of the most amazing winning sessions when all just went right, just like what you would hope for in the + and......,, some thrilling comebacks from near oblivion to Valhalla. Many times when jumping from passive to aggressive play I was getting not one but two BJ's on both hands with great frequency which I found at the time most astounding. Also my max play, which was kept slightly below checks play call out, garnered me no heat in the slightest, happy....happy.
Incidents of interest, tc of + 20 with 2 decks remaining and worked it way down to 5 when the card came out,,,needless to say some nice tracking for a few shoes to come.
I was playing very late one night, just me and another older biker gent, and we were doing very well with much chips in front of us and clearly playing a very serious game, when 2 mid 20's guys walk up to the table and ask if they could join in, I turned my head to my shoulder and gave a cold stare and said nothing as did the other biker gent,,stupid to see what was going down on the table and then try to interrupt, especially this late at night. The two 20's guys seemed befuddled at the cold treatment and decided to sit down and wait out the shoe,,,cool with me,,,but maybe not so with the biker gent player. One of the young guys pulls out a cell and starts talking in a foreign tongue,,I think they were Russian or Albanian, the female dealer asks them to put the phone down as they cannot use it on the table,,he continues to talk for 10 seconds when the biker gent explodes on him and tells him very loudly and in a disrespectful way to put the phone down and "does he not understand English", the young guy offended says "Me speekee English very well" and the verbal war was on between the 3 of them. I thought it was the perfect example of what can happen when disrespect is shown to another and I stood and took it all in as these clowns, all 3 went at it back and forth,,,then the biker dude made a threat that he should never had made if he was not prepared to back it up,,,maybe he thought his beard and leathers and insignia made him a tough guy and made others fear him,,,the threat,,,,"let's take it outside right now and I will kick your ass",,,,well the cell phone guy say's, "great, let's go" and starts to get up as the biker gent looks shocked that this guy was ready to throw down and he stamers and makes no move to the door but looks at the dealer as if to say,,,"help me out of this mess I have gotten myself into" Now at this point I have lost all respect for biker gent realizing he is a pussy who talks big but is really a friggin coward and asshole to boot. So the sparring goes back and forth until security arrives and the guys are escorted out, not the biker the other two and all the while the biker is saying how he will kick their ass and blow them away with the 9 millimeter he has stashed on his bike. A sad spectacle,,,not for the young guys, but the coward, idle threatening biker.:laugh:
Another interesting note an AP friend of mine came by to play with me but I was exiting a table just as he arrived and I told him I would see him later. Not to long later, while in my room, my cell rang and it was my friend who sensed something wrong in the pit when he gave his card so he played a shoe, which appeared to be altered and then left the game,,I told him to meet me in a few minutes at a certain spot. We met and he explained what had happened so I told him to move to another pit and I would watch what transpired from the other side of the pit,,,we did this and much to my surprise as soon as he sat down and gave the card there was a great meeting and interest from the pit personnel as to what to do, they seemed to know something about him but were not sure what to do, what action to take,,,,but the heat was real and hot,,,as he was allowed to play one shoe before he left on his own accord,,,,there is more to this story than I can write about but I do feel sorry for this AP and hope that in the end the heat will dissipate and nothing permanent will come of it.
My wife, the Math Proff, has developed a certain specialization for a certain brand of progressive slots which I even believe she has mastered as to when they are going off,,,hitting a total of nine jackpots over the 3 days with many credits on the machines when she hit and enough comp points in 3 days from her play to assure another 16 months of highest player comp level. This beats her previous record of 8 jackpots over a 2 day play period.
I have come to realize 3 straight days of casino play is plenty for me as I and the wife were ready to re-enter the real world.
