happy hour blackjack! what would odds on this be?
so i was looking up the siena my new favorite casino here i reno and i found this on there site.
Monday-Friday ~ 10 to 11 am
Bonus Situations
• Shared Hand Bonus. Anytime there are two or more blackjacks on one round of play, those who have the blackjacks will be paid Double the Bet up to $25 and all other players at the table (including the dealer) will receive a $5 bonus. A dealer’s blackjack will count as one of the hands.
• 6 Discard. When a 10 and 6 are a player’s first two cards, player may discard the 6 one time to recreate the first two cards. If redraw is an Ace, hand plays as 21.
• Suited Blackjacks will be paid 2:1 up to $25.
• Suited 6, 7, 8 pays Double the Bet up to $25 and all other players get a $5 bonus

so if i where to only play during happy hour any idea what my odds might be?
single deck d.d. on any 2 cards, dealer hits soft 17, 3/4 penetration.

This needs a sim, but it would appear to add more than 1% to the $5 unit counter's advantage and you may bet accordingly. However. zg

The three rules above will give you over a 2% advantage playing basic strategy. I don’t know the exact value of the additional $5 bonuses, but they will be huge! If you can also count cards and vary your bets from $5-$25 you can make a fortune playing this game, even for just an hour each day…if you can find a seat!

Hmmmm....one day a week, one hour a day. I wonder just how many suits would be hovering over that particular table(s)? Sure sounds good though!

It's too bad
That poor NC Tom can't take advantage of this sweet deal! See if you weren't so damn greedy, NC you could make a fortune with this setup. Hope this deal is around for awhile at least until I get out there. By that time I'm sure Zg and the other wizards will tell us exactly what the adv. is. Something tells me that there are going to be more of these promos in Reno because they are getting slammed by the three Indian casinos off of I-80 from the Bay Area. I've been getting near giveaways from the Legacy etc. on room rates($33/night, wkdys,1/2 price wkends etc.)Maybe they will think twice about that@#@$#@%$#@ 6:5 .Well ,one can hope,no?

Congrats Quinc!
By the way, I noticed that you've just entered the exclusive world of senior membership. First thing you do is hit Mikeaber up for some of his E-weed and then you can comp the other seniors to a free week in Reno!

Preliminary observations....
I just got done "playing "this game(on kitchen table) to see any unusual anomolies. So far this sticks out: 1)the burn of the X6 is GREAT!!! Within about an hour of play time the sit. came up 5-6 times and I ended up turning a losing hand into a winner 3 times. 2) The suited BJ came up twice and 3)The double blackjack came up twice. I realize that it's too short to be really scientific, but I got the thought process started. No use counting on the suited 6-7-8 or the 7-7-7...not going to happen within an hour(even 10)Also, on first glance,it would seem that keeping the flat bet in the $5-10 range provides better opportunity against the $25 max. payout ,also I would think that it would do wonders for deviation.Ken,Zg etal., any more imput? P.S. I kept track w/ chips and wound up an extra 7.5 units in 1.5 hrs.)

Statistically your table-top sim is meaningless! zg
