Default You can win money with BS and Count??

(well, i'm not englis and my english is very bad, same as Indio)
I'm new in Blackjack, i'm read a lot of webs and forums, and I have a question or dude.

Can you win money if you do a Basic Estrategy and count cards. Because I read and I'm confused. Because sometimes I read that you can win money same as a job, other times I readk you only win little money and it isn't interessant, it's better get a job, and other times I read in far time you lost money, the balance is negative.

Would you answer me, please

thanks a lot

"Can you win with Basic Strategy?" Yes, but it's extremely unlikely if you play very long. Can you win with "counting?" Yes, but you need to have a pretty good bankroll to work with and the profits are not overwhelming percentage-wise. But you do have the advantage with counting so over a period of time, you should come out ahead.

Most importantly though, and if you've read the older posts, the advice you'll get is that before you start counting, you HAVE to know Basic Strategy and be able to apply it at the tables perfectly! You still use it when you are counting!

It depends on a lot of things. If you are using BS and Card counting perfectly, If you have the ability to play 20 or more hours a week at good blackjack games. have a $20,000+ bankroll and nerves of steel through all the positive and negative swings, then yes you could do this as a job. Also providing you have enough cover or the ability to travel to avoid getting barred from casinos.
Over the long run you will make money providing all of the above. I think most counters fail because they overbet there bankroll.

Cass made some very good points. This is not the sort of thing most people can make a living at. Many would either go broke or get sick of it and quit. Most of us do this for fun. It can be a good way to earn extra money and get free vacations.
