Stragnest encounter ever

So I and my significant other arrive on a Saturday afternoon. Soon thereafter a pit boss encounters us with hand extended. "Been a while since I've seen you guys. What have you been up to." I then deliver my player's card.

A good night ensues at this shoe pit. And Sunday goes pretty good as well. This pit boss is working all weekend. He recognizes us. My significant other watches most of the time. He flirts with her. And he chats me up heavy. I'm pretty good at keeping up with what is going on and being able to carry on a conversation at the same time.

I play for about 14 hours per day average at the same store. If this pit boss is on, the same thing occurs. After a couple of days, he says, "I would have asked you guys out for drinks after work but I didn't see you again." He leaves a card with his "private phone number and email address". I put in aside and continue to play. He comes back from break and says, "Don't lose that." I say yeah right, like it's your real number and then step away from the table to call the number. He's already got his personal phone out and showing it to me. Lo and behold it's his number.

That night we go out for drinks. He brings "casino bling" (i.e. promo clothing). He buys us drinks. We have what is mostly a social conversation. Though I do try to find out store secrets.

The next day we miss the opportuity to hook up for lunch with he and his wife as we are leaving town. He asks how I did. I explain that I lost what I won and then some, but it could have been worse.

He says, "Well, two out of three trips ain't bad for a professional." To which I casually tranfer the phone conversation to other pleasantries.

Permanent cover or something to fear? I dunno. But very interesting.

I'd be worried if I were you. Sounds like this guy's got the hots for ONE of you. Or something more sinister. You need to ask yourself: "What's wrong with this picture?". Because there is definitely SOMETHING wrong.

Could be he wants to get on the action. If he knows you are a pro, he might be looking to make some extra money on the side. or the girlfriend or swinger thing.

Or MAYBE he is just a nice person LOL:laugh:

If it weirds you out too much let the casino know that one of their employees is acting inappropriately. Take care of it before it gets out of hand.

You guys aren't paranoid much are you?

Or am I not paranoid enough?

I don't know. I just don't see anything sinister. And I think it's an opportunity for good cover. If anything ever goes south in an unethical way I can always walk.

On the other hand if it's a trap, I just don't see how he's not in a trap himself.

Who knows? I don't know you, so maybe there is something about you and your gf that screams "We're into four-ways." Is he in the same demographic as you? Demographics gives away a lot of information.

I'd either outright avoid him, or just avoid his store while he is there.
