Default El Cortez and Western

I've realize that these casinos are in a shady neighborhood and most ppl suggest not going there at night. I've been to the El Cortez before, so I know about the ppl out on the street. I was wondering, since I will have a car, would it be safe to drive to these casinos and park there at night. Any advice for these places?

Where would be a good place to park for these casinos?

Well, there's a sign in the Tez Casino stating "anyone's wish to have Security Escort them to their car will be honored" or something like that.

If you are paranoid type, be careful of the low ceiling at the El Cortez. it seems constricting. with the nut house escapees playing you might be like me, and suddenly want to bolt.

EC has valet, Western has a parking lot and will also escort on request. I have often walked to and from Western with several thousand dollars in my pocket, but I don't recommend it. zg

There isn't really any good place to park near the Western. They have parking lots on either side of the building (one is across the street) but neither is very secure. I remember one of the dealers had her car broken into at the nearby lot while she was working. Your best bet is to park at the EC and walk to the Western (quickly!).

P.S. - Just a little fun fact: Remember the episode of Malcolm in the Middle where they go on a vacation to Vegas and his father has a dream about a slot machine? That scene at the end (where he finally finds the "dream machine") was at the Western! :D
