Default Odd deck games

Blackjack tends to come in four different deck sizes, 1-2-6 and 8 deck and I was wondering if any casinos have ever used 3-5-7-9 or more decks? I know 4 decks used to be used and was wondering if any casinos still have 4 deck games?

The casinos I play at use 5 decks (at least that is what the dealers say when asked, hopefully that is a trustworthy source).

The only 4-deck game I have ever seen was in Searchlight, NV (probably still there). I have never seen an odd number of decks in use, but I wouldn't put it past the casinos to try it.

I assumed 4 deck games were pretty standard. All the indian casinos i play at here have them. I like that they bridge the gap from 2deck to 6deck.... Not as obvious counting, but not as slow as six deck. No eight decks here!!

Is the three deck game a pitch game or delt out of a shoe?

Where I live all games are 4decks except for some of the high-limit blackjack tables which use 6decks.

I just got back from Vegas and never realized what a pain in the ass a 6 or 8 deck game could be but I will post more on this later after some rest.
