Default 6/5 S/ D Comment and Question

I gamble in a.c ...........so my only choices are an 8 deck n/s shoe game or 6/5 s/d

I've played the s/d 6 times had one good session where I won 600 the other times times I've basicly lost a little and pretty much played the game even.while giving the casino a long play there by building up my comp............I've yet to get "blown out of the water" which happens quite often in the shoe game...............Also I find it a better game to practice my counting with.

Now I/ve read the articles about how bad this game is and I have no doubt they are correct............... however I do have a 2 questions

Why are the max bet limits lower than on a comparable shoe game?

What would the house edge be if I was using a count system?

Limits are probably lower on the 6:5 game to lure players to the table. One thing is for certain, the casinos are not charitable organizations and seriously doubt that they are going to be giving away much if they do not expect to gain from it!

Most of what I've read about counting systems state that the player will gain about 1% to 2% by employing the skill with accuracy. Even at 1%, it turns the negative expectation game into one in which the player actually has an advantage over the house.

the starting disadvantage for 6/5 is 1.5% if I remember right, that's three times the normal starting disadvantage for a six deck shoe. So in order to get an advantage, you have to hope the TC stays around +4. Trust me, stick to the shoe, this game is a money pit.
