Well now I feel like an idiot.

After reading some of these stories, I've learned about buying somebody's split. I've had that happen to me and never even knew it.

I had a fellow buy my split for me once when I was down on chips. I had two 8s so it was pretty much necessary, but I was completely out of chips. Very nice fellow next to me offered up the chips.

I thought he was just being nice. I'd never seen 'buying a split' ever.
And, being a polite Canadian, I offered that if I lost the hand, I'd obviously be quitting and repay him out of the ATM. He waved me away saying not to worry about it. ($15 verses the $2000 he had in chips in front of him. LOL)

Won the hands. Gave him his chips back with copious quantities of thank you's, but barely enough chips left to stay in the game, let alone tip anybody.

Now I've learned here about buying somebody's split. I feel like such an idiot.

Poor fellow. I hope that basking in my feminine wiles was enough reward for him. :p
