Default Barred @ Golden Nugget (((yawn)))

One of the MANY times that they backed me off, and to this day I play with virtually no cover except for my wise-cracking supersitious and slightly inebriated demeanor. Don't be overly concerned about being backed off. zg

Barred @ Golden Nugget (((yawn)))

"... Having been backed-off 3x in the past 24mos at the Golden Nugget, had taken to short sessions there and no player tracking - my most recent session I resolved to limit to 30min, and when the pitcritter offered to track me I scowled "I dont need another $5000 free dinner, I'm here to win money" and she said fine.

Edging 33min, spreading from 1x $25 to 3x $300 I was up $4k, and coloring up to go, when the shift mgr suddenly appeared and slapped his card down on the table announcing "I'm the shift mgr and YOU are no longer allowed to play BJ at ANY MGM-Mirage casino!"

I looked up sheepishly and asked in mock sincerity "Gee, was it something I said?" The SM admonished me "save the smart remarks or I'll have security escort you off the premises!" As I collected my small stack of $500 chips I replied "well let me just say that it was NICE BEATING YOU!"

Someone commented that my 1-36 spread was "a bit over the top for 2D" to which I replied "yeah but I was already barred anyway." I still expect to play there and other similarly situated clubs MANY more times, I'm shamless. zg

What did his card say? Was he just trying to prove he was shift manager with his name tag or something?

How can you come back so many times after being barred? Can't you get arrested for trespassing?

I was going to ask if they'd "trespassed" you too. Obviously (or maybe not so obviously) not

I think I read on one of the BJ boards a list of casinos and how their security stacked up. These ratings were made by casino surveillance people for their constituents. Most of the downtown casinos ranked pretty low but those downtown rated highest in "paranoia" on the part of the pit crews.

Only in theory. In the last 20 years not a single card-counter has ever been arrested for trespassing when they returned after being 86'd. Its just a bluff. zg
