Las Vegas police are seeking a man who robbed a Bellagio craps table at gunpoint Tuesday morning and got away with more than $1.5 million in chips.

Police said a man parked his late-model black sport motorcycle at the north valet entrance of the casino about 3:50 a.m. He entered the casino wearing a white, full-face motorcycle helmet and a leather jacket, police said.

The man approached a nearby craps table and demanded money, which he received, and then left the casino. He fled west on Flamingo Road on the motorcycle, police said.

Could this be genius? High EV, high variance . . .
Rumor has it that he's a modern day Robin Hood and big chunk of the net proceeds,
after fencing the booty, goes to feeding the poor. Can we root for this bandit? zg

This is so much cleaner, more efficient, more wonderful really, than the rest of us parking our butts on plastic stools for hundreds of hours grinding it out. :eyepatch:

It looks like better EV than bank robbery too - higher take and no feds. zg

Heard on the radio today another joint was robbed last week and he got, i believe five figures worth of chips. Same MO, including the helmet.
P.S. judging by the video, 1. guy needs to shed a few pounds 2. he won't be timed at the NFL combine 3. where the hell is security

This robbery will now affect many of us APs in a detrimental way.
The Bellagio will now change all the chips on their tables. Anyone who has outstanding Bellagio chips will be allowed a certain amount of time to cash them in. But be warned: You WILL be extensively questioned when you do cash them out. If you've been playing WITHOUT being rated, you WILL be a suspected fence for this criminal.

I have first-hand experience in this area. About 10 years ago, the Trump Plaza had a snatch & run, where the thief got away with about 20K in $500 chips. The Plaza immediately pulled all their chips off all their tables. Not knowing about the robbery or the fact that none of the tables had any purple chips, I just so happened to innocently go into the Plaza to cash $4000 in chips that I had had in my possession for several months. ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE! Because I had never used a rating card there and could not PROVE that the chips were legally mine, I was arrested and the chips were confiscated. It ended up costing me $2000 in attorneys fees to clear this up and get my 4 grand returned to me; however, I DID lose my subsequent false arrest lawsuit. The court decided that under the circumstances, the CCC DID act in good faith when they arrested me, even though I was completely cleared of any wrongdoing. According to my attorney, in order to sue New Jersey cops, you have to show that they acted with malice.

So if you have chips from Bellagio and can't PROVE that you're a legitimate player; let this serve as a warning - BE CAREFUL when you go to cash them; be prepared for a possible HUGE hassle. If you have a friend who's a rated high roller there, you may want to ask him to cash the chips.

Mark my words - it's not going to be easy!
