Just come back from the Rivers. They remove a section of slot machines and add about 15 tables. Of them, 4 are BJ tables. More tables are good news for red chippers as well. I saw two $5 minimal table the first time. And they are using ASM not CSM. In the past, the Rivers has only $25 minimal ASM tables in weekdays. Red chippers have to play CSM in most of times.

They also mentioned that that side pit is going to open weekday nights instead of just weekends, which is generally $10 or $15 and uses an ASM.

A crucial thing to remember is that $5 tables often have their minimums
raised to $10 (or more) when the casinos become busier or for a shift change.

In some venues you can ask to be "grandfathered-in" so that as
long as you continue playing you are permitted to bet as little as $5.

Beginners are generally unaware that this privilege may be granted.

I remember seeing some literature from the Meadows that states a grandfathering is available but is limited to two hours.
