Trump robbing customers with $1 blackjack.

You’re not going to believe this, but Trump is offering $1 blackjacks with a 25 cent fee.
The 25 cent fee isn’t a wager. It’s a fee for every hand that you play, regardless of whether you win or lose the hand.
25 cents may not seem much, but that represents 25 percent of your wager.
That’s fa-aaa-r worse than 6:5 blackjack payout.

There are plenty of ploppies who play it all the time.

Someone did a calculation of how much the casino makes from a $1 BJ table in one thread.

I don't see a problem with it. After all, the casino has expenses. How do you expect them to even cover their costs with $1 BJ in NJ?

Not much different than BJ in Oklahoma. In Oklahoma the "fee" is called an ante. 50 cents at a $5 min table. $1 if your bet is $25 or larger I think. People play it all day long.

So what rules would we need for this to be a profitable game? 2 to 1 blackjack, early surrender, and 90% pen?

This game has been there for months and discussed widely on this very forum.

Trump casinos filed bankruptcy three times. How else can they make money? zg

In OK it is different, they make their money off the ante, they are not allowed to profit off the actual game.

What happens if they do turn a profit? Aren't there a number of casinos with ante-free BJ in OK?

Don't expect to find a good $1 blackjack game anywhere. In the Sahara in Vegas, the dollar game has the worst rules but no ante.

How bad are they [the rules]?

Not sure about the Saharas rules, but there is a certain $2 four deck game that is a virtual ATM in the area. Deep penetration at times, DOA,DAS, little heat.

8D H17 NDAS DA2 Even Money BJ. The house edge is worse than roulette. Factor in the ploppy house edge, and they make a killing. I played it when I got $20 worth of non-cashable chips and converted it into $10 of regular chips. I made crazy plays for fun like doubling a blackjack, splitting tens, hitting hard 17, etc just for entertainment because the chips weren't my money. Had a good experience because I met some people at the table who liked my crazy plays and they invited me to a show at the Sahara they had an extra ticket for.

Full tables!

The $1 blackjack sucks 'em right in! The tables I have seen are packed in and the people love it. They are enjoying cheap gambling and are oblivious to the HA or simply can't be bothered with such things.

Funny part was, a patron playing $1 BJ gave his Trump card to the PC(? or PB), He looked at it and gave it back again. Did not even bother to swipe it.

In Blackjack Autumn Barry Meadow writes that the players he encounterd at the Sahara Vegas tables were having more fun (and they didn't have a clue) than any other place he played at in Nevada.:joker:
