can someone explain to me how the cut card strategy works?

If you know the exact location of a certain card then you can cut in a way that helps to steer that card to where you want it to go. For example, if you saw that the bottom card was an ace then you could cut 52 cards from the back. You could then bet big when that ace is about to be dealt. You could also play your hands in a way that guaranteed that you get that ace. Similarly, if the last card was a ten then you could steer that card to bust the dealer. Knowing when a certain card is about to be dealt can be a huge advantage.
