Dammit, I just lost a long post when it didn't submit. Cliffs: I've considered this type of setup before with help from friends with a condo and a business in Mexico. I believe I'd need an FM3 to set up the bank account. Is that true? How much are the initial sign-up bonuses (that are worth doing) worth, and how much are the monthly bonuses (that are worth doing) worth? How much time is needed to achieve those returns?

before anyone else does anything silly, like sending PCs in the mail to their friend's houses, learn about how to fake your location virtually. you don't need to go with an FM3 either.

My original post (that got lost) mentioned that I would look into proxies if I actually bothered to try this, however I do likely have the option of using hardware in Mexico as well. So you are saying I can get a Mexican bank account without an FM3? Or perhaps some you mean other countries would be easier due to simpler requirements? The address part isn't an issue, as that's easily dealt with. Aside from the bank account and address, if a site requires an ID for cashout, I'd imagine photoshop would be the best option, since they will never need a physical document. Feel free to PM if you have info on this that doesn't belong on the boards.

*edit*

Note: I'm not actually seriously considering this right now, but I am interested in the logistics and in whether or not it would be worthwhile. I used to do casino bonuses several years ago, but I don't know if today's bonus climate makes this effort worthwhile or not.

Not sure if this is still be pursued anymore, but with a combination of routing your connection through a proxy server and IP spoofing you can make it look like you're from anywhere.

Eh, it probably still wouldn't be much good because I would imagine that they're having serious liquidity problems now without the US bettors. I ended up going with 5 dimes.

You need more than just that. a whole lot more.

many places ask you to send ID, passport, residency status, current bills. pokerstars requires a physical address to send a verification code to. you need to input this code to finish the application. this is to prevent players from making multiple accounts for cheating, as well as keep them out of legal trouble with the US.

I just used all of my friend's info who lives in another country. Not quite Identity theft, identity borrowing?

I meant just in terms of masking your physical presence on the Internet to circumvent IP/DNS verification systems. Of course you'll need the items you listed for continuing.

what's the point of masking your physical location if you're not going to continue?

Some people in this thread have suggested using an out-of-country friend's address/information to register an account initially. However, if the websites use IP authentication for more than just registration (read: while playing), you're going to need to spoof then as well. So, in essence you're playing in your friend's name and masking your IP so that their servers allow you to play.
