Worst ploppy ever, bar none!

Ploppies who play badly, or blame others for there loss don't bother me in the least, at least they provide free entertainment. However...

Sat down at a table, right off the bat, first hand I get a 12 v 2, which I hit, and got a 3. Idiot ploppy at 3rd immediately begins to bitch and moan how I shouldn't have hit it, so I just tell him STFU (think I was on edge from having to stand around an hour at this damn casino just to get a seat). He then proceeds to double down for his 13 for less, and gets a nine and busts. Cannot possibly fathom what was going on his ploppy brain. Dealer flips over a 10 and busts with a 10 - he was "right" I shouldn't have hit!

He actually knew BS fairly well, he was your typical loud mouth know it all giving advice to the whole table.

This didn't really bother me. But what did bother me next, was he had a A2 v 3, and he proceeds to run to the ATM machine to get money to double down. Sigh, good thing was, I was amazed how quickly he got the money. Must have ran.

But what really made him the worst ploppy I've encountered, was after a good shoe, he got up to go to the bathroom, and proceded to take the cut card with him! Dealer told him he couldn't but he just mumbled something and ran off with the cut card.

This being an ASM table, I just told the dealer to get another cut card and proceed with the game. Wish I could have strangled that guy.

I nominate this guy as the worst ploppy ever - especially for a counter :)

At my local store they offer cheap 8 deck, 6:5, H17 games from a CSM. The players that frequent those tables are atrocious! They will constantly hit all their stiff hands regardless of the dealer upcard. Unless of course it's a 10/A, then they'll stand and hope the dealer busts. It amazes me the logic they employ, or lack thereof. Hitting 14 v 6 but standing 13 v 10 :S

Maybe he figured that he had to "repair" the damage you'd just done, so that he could get the cards back to the correct "flow". Or maybe he figured it was worth sacrificing a few hands in order to get "revenge" on you for "costing" him four bets.

I've actually had ploppies announce to me: "I'm on 3rd base, I'm going to BUST you OUT, you SOB!"; then proceed to play like a fool, in an idiotic attempt to do so. This gets us back to the "free entertainment" you're talking about - sometimes it pretty much makes my day to watch these kind of a-holes dump off all their money! - And to help matters along, the more I laugh openly in their face, the harder they try; and the stupider they play!

Sounds like he understood BS when he chose to double on the soft hand-sounds clueless when he didn't get 12v2:joker:Saw this plop not too long ago: i sit and he says "saw 'ya nosing around another table I was at earlier".
I'm thinking like STFU! As I'm playing at this 6 deck shoe he starts telling the dealer and the PC how double deck is really "his game". They smile at him as he splits 10's. Last time I saw him awhile later he was on the line to get money on his credit line.

Yeah, don't understand why casinos don't make it a policy of requiring players not to comment or bitch and moan about others play. I know of plenty of people who won't play blackjack because they don't like when other ploppies bitch - most of these tend to be younger and female (which also probably tends to make other ploppies comment on them, in a sort of feedback loop). In the long run casinos lose money on this.

Then again casino mgmt. aren't the brightest people on earth. How many times do I see ploppies going at it, and all the dealers and PC do is stand there and not really do anything.

I actually witnessed the following:

An older gentleman takes a seat at first base and would not hit any hand that could possibly bust.

On his first hand he has 12 vs. a dealer Face Card. The dealer hits his 12 with a TEN and he
complains to the floor person that he did not want a hit. The floorman clearly does not
believe a word of it as the ploppie proclaims "I would never hit a hand that could break"
The floorman is really visibly angry as he is sure that the ploppy was taking a "free shot"
for the $100 that he had bet. Of course the floorman lets him stand on his 12 and announces
that the dealer's next card will be the TEN. The floorprson is now super-glued to the table as
he watches this imbecile flat-bet $100 until his $1,000 buy-in is gone. About 10 minutes of
"no-bust" play that was. The House Advantage is > 5.5% with such a self-destructive "strategy".

Anyone can win or lose, but those whose play is efficacious, Merit credit for good news, and find the adverse less vexatious.

Guys guys guys. You all aren't using your heads. These are the types of ploppies you can easily make money off of. For the ploppy that tells you how to play your hand, you extract money from him to play it his way. If he doesn't want to, then you say, "you don't seem very confident in what you believe." This will more than likely induce him to pay up or either shut up. For the ploppy who always stands on his hand, it could be argued that he is helping you out during good counts. If you're really ambitious perhaps you could gently pull him aside and explain why it is such a bad move for him to never risk busting. If you do a good enough job, who knows, he might listen to you and give you a tip.

What an idiot! He deserved to lose his $1000. Ploppies like him keep us in business.
