Largest Percentage Increase

When I first started working for this IT firm in Ottawa, I had a fairly crappy homelife. My girlfriend at the time and I weren't really getting along that well and the apartment was always a mess with no dinner made when I came home. One night, I decided to go straight from work out to Lac Leamy in Hull Quebec for a couple hours of blackjack and some dinner.

I wasn't making great money at the time, only $15/hour, so I didn't want to blow all my cash. I took out $100 and went to sit at a $15 min table, getting 95 in reds and 5 singles (the side bet was Lucky 7's)

Now, I wish I could say the first part of my game was due to my "amazing counting skills and BS mastery", but it was 100% luck. My first two hands came up suited 7's vs dealer 5 or 6; splitting my 7's yielded 17 both times, dealer busted both...so now I'm up $260 due to 99% dumb luck and 1% BS. I had been counting using Hi-Lo since the start but it was a while before it deviated from ~0 TC.

Throughout the course of the night, I hit the 7's 2 more times, but other than that it was strictly regular wins. I kept rat-holing my chips, colouring up every $500. Several times the TC would end up around +5, and sure enough I didn't really experience any "wtf the dealer's getting all of my cards!" syndrome :joker: By the time the night was over, I had $2400 sitting in my pocket.

Since then I have yet to earn that kind of profit in a session, and talking about it makes me wish I wasn't stuck on the oil sands!

That's a beatable sidebet, although barely worth the bother - more as a did it for the lulz thing. Classy joint, Lac De Lamay. I remember I was playing their high stakes table once. Fine guy, 4.5/6, S17, 50-1000. Anyway, I'm doing well but was just off my first back off so kind of parnanoid sweating every little thing. Then I get this tap on my shoulder from a suit. Sure enough, I think, here it comes... fml...

In my cold focus on the game I had gotten a little sloppy and was unwittingly half mooning the lac du lamay high rollers room

Seriously, how focused are you that you don't realize your pants are down around your knees? You are supposed to stay focused not only on the game, but on conditions and activities happening around you. I think your ass hanging out qualifies as that.

I always play it despite it almost never winning more than 3-1 because my first time ever in a casino (Lac Leamy) I hit 777 suited and didn't have a chip down

Been there kinda, a couple extra buttons on my shirt undid and there was an old woman deeply disturbed by my chest hair.
