Laughlin Conditions
Saw some old threads but looking for some current information on Laughlin conditions.
Looking for a place to park myself for a few days with food (plus) comps for decent play. Not looking to break the bank or draw attention just looking to unwind. Room is already comped.
I know Laughlin isn't LV so BJ conditions won't be optimal but any recommendations appreciated for 3-2 6 deck shoe games, low dollar, minimal spread, decent pen (if poss), surrender option.
Regards, MoN

I doubt that you will be seeing Resplit Aces OR Late Surrender OR good pen anywhere in Laughlin.
True, I have not been there in more than 2 years.
Laughlin is an odd place as they really sweat Red Action there.

I was there in December 2010.
Why play shoe when almost every joint has 32 SD? I think I only saw 2 shoe games going on.
I played reds and greens, and that has to be about the sweatiest town I've ever been in. Imagine if the sweaty spaniard was a resort destination. I played red on SD and had some small wins. Maybe $200, and that would get the PC's attention at EVERY joint. you gotta start ratholing early or play short sessions. tripling your bet usually gets a pref shuffle if you're playing green or higher. I played $5-50 and most dealers give you a dirty look but continue on, or do nothing at all.

Trop Express and River Palms has those vitual BJ machines where you and the table play against a video dealer. It's 3-2, DA2,DAS, H17 with late surrender. A good thing is you earn points like on a slot machine, so playing a few hours gets you good comps, and same day cash. You can spread however you like, and no tipping the dealer. good for getting future mailings.
Their live games are DD, H17, DA2, NDAS, no surrender and are sweaty.
Pioneer has a good SD, but super sweaty.
Harrahs had a nice DD with $25 minimums, but it's been at least a year since I played there.

Try the Golden Nugget. Decent games with minimal heat. Second choice would be Trop Express....they have heat, but not anything a little camo couldn't hide.

Head down to Don Laughlin's Riverside and practice your drop-cut. That place is like stepping back in time... DeLorean included.

Shadroch,
You said …

When I was there, The sweating was utterly absurd.
As soon as I bet $50 I was backed off by the shift manager.
It took <5 minutes.
I moved to the poker room; that had a crowd of retirees who were easily readable. Very profitable.

But you are a Legend. The pit most certainly had you pegged before you sat down. I met up with another forumite and had no problem spreading 1-4 two years ago over Memorial Day weekend. I just don't enjoy those stakes.
A word of warning to the OP. The roads in Laughlin are all under construction. Both 163 ( the road down from Vegas) and Casino Drive are all ripped up and subject to closures and detours. It can be painful.
