The backoff cancellation

Heres a story thats unique, because it sheds a very simm light on the possibility, that if you are backed off, they might actually appologise to you and say, we are sorry, you can actually still have free hotel rooms and continue to play our casino anytime. Please... sit down and buy in at one of our many fabulous table games....

Where as in the past, we assumed that would never happen...

I was playing in a casino, and i had a good freind with me who i was paying a flat hourly rate to put my money into action. we sat and he did what i told him to, and together we had a whole table to ourselves. As always i allow the other person to use their players card and reap in the ridiculous comp dollars that follow as an added perk to the job. I hadf already been backed off at this casino many times, so I personally was not fearing a backoff, since they already knew me, it was just a matter of "would they spot me"

So we played...and played....for hours.....and then they finally came up to ME and told me they were going to shuffle, so i decided to leave and we were going to goto dinner, i offered to buy some of the comp dollars off my helper at a rate of 1:2 which he agreed to. but when we went to pay, we found out his comps were frozen! Boy was he pissed, because he was a regular player at this casino. He went to compain to the security person with no luck, and they explained how they dont have to give comps etc.

A week later, he still plays the casino but with no comps....

A month later...I ask him, why dont you go back and just explain what you were doing and maybe they will let you get comps....

ANd possibly for the first time in the history of backing off a player at a blackjack table.....He was RE ISSUED his comp earning ability on his players card.

To this day he continues to play at this casino, and even gets free match play coupons.

Doesnt it just warm your heart to see the casino finally...kinda taking our side?

First of all, the casino's view AP as cheating, no different than illegal activities and as such your friend is guilty by association. What you did is just a form of team play and now your friend has actually confirmed that.. For the casino to reverse it's decision, I can only imagine that your friend is a long time losing big bettor (whale) and as such they decided to give him another chance in the hopes that this was maybe an isolated incident. But no doubt he is on a short leash. They know for sure that he has access to an advantage player and advantage play information and possibly a teacher and will be watching him closely. perhaps just a couple normal future winning sessions will get him banned and loss of privledges/comps/offers. So in short, I really don't think you did your friend any favors.

I have a story on this same note. True story, hand to God.

My friend's family is friends with another family who are good friends with the Wynn's, as in Steve Wynn.

One of the kids in this family is a card counter, and he was playing at the Wynn and counting (not sure about the spread.) Anyway, kid gets backed off after awhile and he tells his family. His family mentioned this to Steve Wynn and Steve CALLED HIM personally and apologized and said he was welcome to play anytime he wanted and could have a free suite whenever he needed.
