Kate Bosworth. I can guarantee a girl like that does not go to MIT, its a physical and logical impossibility. If this much good looks and brains was concentrated in one person, the universe would catastrophically implode upon itself into a singularity. Myself being the exception of course.

casino marketing not bright
Only saw last 30 min?
The message to a whale?
You can be pulled out of a casino, beaten, robbed and life threatened.
If can happen to an AP, why not me?
The more the message gets out that casino staff are dangerous, especially if one plays big. The more damage to their bottom line.

I thought 21 was spot-on. It accurately depicts the day-to-day challenges any working AP must face. My only criticism, and this is really just a quibble, is that they didn't use rocket shoes to travel from one casino to another. All the pros I know use rocket shoes (or teleporters, if traffic is an issue) to go from casino to casino, and even from table to table at larger casinos. All in all, though, a realistic plot, an amazing script, and an impeccable presentation of the facts made for a great movie.

I actually -did- start out my counting education with the movie 21 . I learned to go look for basic strategy charts on the internet and how to count with the Hi-Lo system (the movie calls it the "Plus One - Minus One Balanced System) from the special features. Of course I went on to read a bunch of books and purchase/download various software, but my starting inspiration was that darn movie... not that I don't own and watch the movie still.

Yeah man, I think a lot of people got started that way and I think the casinos were counting on most of them going about it half-assed and getting wrecked.
I started after I read Bringing Down the House which the movie is based off, so basically the same thing

We had Andy Bloch on the show this week so if you didn't listen you can get his reactions to the movie from the podcast. (He was on the MIT team.) I also put up my interview with John and Laurie C. John was one of the people the Kevin Spacey character was based on.

I went to a consortium semester in Italy while in college once. I met hot girls from duke, brown, and princeton.

You Too??
LOL!! I thought I was the only one!! I actually thought it was silly to believe the book, as it's almost "fiction" and so I decided to try it out, "lightly"... The book was a breeze and it sparked my interest. Went on the Internet and got a hold of as much information on BJ as possible. Before you know it, I was ordering books by famous authors/cc's, bought decks of cards, shoes and discard trays and began visiting some forums... LOL!! Now I'm hooked and the rest is HISTORY!!
Next Shuffle Please!!
