Unhappy Semi-pro by force...maybe!

I may be getting cut back to 4 days a week at my place of employment. I'm having a tough time dealing with it and I'm trying to put it into perspective. I'm contemplating going semi-pro with the extra time.

I am more than frustrated since the one at the helm is an idiot and has put me and my associates in this position!

Stupid should hurt!

Any thoughts?

True, I'm trying to figure out how to position myself to see the opportunities take full advantage of them.

Maybe its time to put out the resumes!

I am a novice, but if I were doing CC for a part-time salary substitute, I would want the best possible shot at the cash with the least amount of risk. For me, that would be team play in the mode of spotter/BP, since spotters need no EV draining camo, and max bet can be set at any level affordable. Also, there are games where min bet is not crushing in a play-all BS mode. Finding a trusted teammate or two seems like the hardest part. Also, you have to find stores where tables are not kept crowded at various times, like late at night or early morning. But that's just my opinion. There are real experts here who may have other ideas.

Default stop gap measures or more

Coyote, i'm a novice as well but, i'm with aslan on the getting the most bang for your buck risk wise.
probably you know this, but put together a overall game plan that you can hang some numbers on expectation wise with respect to your costs, sorta thing. figure the expectation for the three days (or however many days), for the stores you can exploit against the costs you'd incur and figure how those numbers stack up against you days work lost, sorta thing.
hopefully you can come up with a diverse array of advantage plays, hopefully your expectation minus costs will be close to the value of the work day you lose.

Is there such a thing as a "semi-pro" counter? My belief is you are either casual in an attempt to supplement your income, playing with money you can afford to lose, or you play full time to make a living. I don't think casual is considered semi-pro, and don't believe semi-pro exists in the AP world. Just some food for thought, I could be wrong....

Probably one in-the-same symantically. I may end up being a very active casual player.

probably need to think of it more in terms of the common practice (in this day and age) of people holding down two jobs as opposed to one, sorta thing.....
