The PC taps me on the shoulder and asks me to get up

So wifey and I are playing for small stakes at a 5* Las Vegas casino where I am known and have been playing for years; I am playing basic strategy and am not doing anything that any reasonable casino would view as hinky. I have a brief run of cards for maybe $500. All of a sudden I get the Tap.

"Mr. C, we noticed that your chair is ripped and we'd like to replace it. Would you mind getting up?"

I get up, and am issued a new chair.

What is going on? Are they messing with my head? Is this the work of some superstitious casino exec watching me from the executive offices?

Afterwards, the wife deflates my ego. "The chair had a tear in it, honey. You didn't see it."

The world gone to hell in a handbasket

That's when you know Vegas has truly hit rock bottom when the casino is sweating losing $14 at one of their $5 minimum tables!

Just because your paranoid, don't mean their not after you! OK in this case maybe they're not :)
Reminds me of Ernie the boss, years ago.

He used to say, "I must be paranoid, I always feel as though everyone is out to get me".

We used to tell him, "No Ernie, you're right, everyone is out to get you"!

Maybe they are worried about you falling through the chair and suing them.
hahaha

This reminds me of the time I sat in a swivel chair at work that was broken and the chair fell backwards to the ground when I leaned back slightly. Everyone laughed at me. I presume that I wasn't the only one to fall on that chair.
