I was about to suggest that AC hotels issue everyone a Glock upon check in. Then I read that the two low lifes that assaulted this couple at the Tropicana were actually registered there.

I'll take, taking no sh*t for $1,000

Alex Trebek chased the intruder away but severed his Achilles tendon. OUCH!! He is getting the surgery I just had tomorrow I think.

Who is the old guy with guts?

I think I seen those two chip hustling in AC recently, I assume they were released on $25 bail by the AC judicial system.

Also relieved to know AC surveillance and security is doing its utmost to keep its patron safe from deranged counters, and not these two innocent characters innocently stalking various hotels floors and patrons.

In their defense, armed robbers don't double A-8 against 3 or split tens, which costs patrons untold millions in lost flow.

Alex Trebeck's intruder was a female that manged to get into his hotel room. I think his situation might have been a little different.

Casinos seem to care more about catching APs than gunmen/criminals. For instant, Thunder said recently a casino was quick to halfshoe him as soon as he sat down at a bj table. An obvious reason is that casinos usually have the sophisticated people recognition computer software. It can take a facial feature, and run it through its extensive database to find potential matches. The database consists of files and pictures of APs, of course, NOT the gunmen/criminals running around in Trop, Trump or other casinos!

Hmm... in addition to the gunman in Trop, a Trump casino also got a gunman running around in its casino tower.

"Two guests at Trump Marina Hotel Casino reported a gun-wielding man in Trump Marina's hotel, on the 10th and 17th floors, at about 4 a.m. Security supervisor Donald Amato called police and went to investigate."

Cops would rather write tickets than deal with armed felons. It's easy and profitable. Same for security guards; they would rather limit their adventures to people they know won't kill them.

Casino security guards aren't the people you want getting involved in an armed robbery anyway. These guys are incompetent. Calling the police is the right thing for them to be doing, and if I were being held at gunpoint I'd probably rather not have these clowns come running up there and getting the bullets flying.

Incidents like this are why I prefer Motel 6 or equivalent when I'm on the road in an unfamiliar area. Nobody at the casino will know where I went. Nobody at the motel will know where I came from. And the door of the room is 10 feet away from my car so if someone is stalking me they have only a few seconds to get me.

I assume you are encouraging people to use their safe. I think safes are status quo in casino hotel rooms.
They usually are present. However if you checking in or checking out of the room the robber knows the money isn't in the safe.

If someone tries to push into your hotel room, plant your foot at the base of the door as close to the edge of it as possible, and put your weight on that foot. You don't want him to get his foot in the door, because a guy who does that kind of crime wears a steel-toed boot to keep you from stomping on it. But if you are both pushing at the door, and he is stupid enough to put his arm in there, you will have both hands free and you can injure his arm.
