Ill be making a trip to AC the 30th of sept. I have never been. Searched around the forums and never saw a definitive answer. Do they have any 1 deck games? Or are they all 8 deck games?

Answers as of now (anything can happen from 8/22/2011 through 9/30/2011 )

Within AC turf:
1) there's no standard single decker, and

2) casinos offer only 6 deckers and 8 deckers.

A bonus for your inqueries:
The best game in town has been the GN's $25 6deckers with the surrender option. Good luck.

All 1 Deck games are 6-5 BJ with terrible rules. No DAS, No Peek on Ace worst.

6 Deck games are min. $25, many of them are S17, remaining H17 (mostly on Caesars owned stores)

It is not easy to find a S17 at $10 min. Almost all $10 tables are 8D except for one casino. Grab a copy of CBJN for pen. details.

What are the 1 deck game mins? Are they hard to find?

Most are $10, some are $15. No, they are not hard to find. You were warned that these were 6:5 yet you still seem interested in them. I would like to think that you have some means of attacking an SD game "beyond counting", but considering you're new to the forum and have never been to AC, I suspect that is not the case. So once more, these are 6:5 games. The house edge is > 1.5% (compare to ~.5% at the 8 decker one pit over).

No I understand the 6:5 is garbage. I just have a very small bank roll and think that the single deck games with min bets wont eat me alive waiting for the right count like I would have to wait at a 8 deck game.

21s, your best bet is to use BS on Hilton's $10 6 deck game. It's obvious your bankroll isn't big enough to count yet. Your other alternative is to count another game and wait until the count is big enough to take a seat and wong out when the count goes negative.

Wonging is the answer

If you have a small bankroll that can't afford to play through negative counts in shoe then backcounting is your best bet. Sounds like you won't be betting big either so you can do it pretty aggressivley and no one will care. You can watch half the shoe before stepping in as long as you move from casino to casino.

When I first started, I had some pretty bad variance and lost most of my bankroll. I had no choice but to backcount and Wong out when the count went south.

6/5 SD BJ will not be a good option.

Easy enough to find, step into R. Although you might not want to go there for other well known reasons.

They're not hard to find. Just look for the dumbest players.
I went looking for the dumbest players and I found them at the $1 bj games. I guess their parents must be at the 6:5 games  In all seriousness though, you won't be able to attack the single deck games in AC with HC so get that out of your head.

I was under the impression it was for 50$ games only and offered only after evaluation.,
Your impression was right prior to GN's take over of Trump Marina Casino (TMC).

GN desperately needs some cash cows. TMC would never offered the $25 bj game, but now GN has at least one $25 bj table open in its high roller pit.

As to the surrender option, just ask and you'll receive, especially you've previously played there as a welcome guest. Be patient if somehow the floorperson puts your request on hold for 30 minutes. Once you're allowed the option, you're home free. Next time when you drop by, you can always claim that the shift manager (Day: Frank, Swing: Jimmy, or Grave: George) OKed the option last week; thus you're grandfathered from now on ;).

Probably the best game in AC. I did not bother to check but I think it allows Mid Shoe. Did not see any sign about it. Indeed there was no rules displayed too - Just the limits.

Hey Pardner, you possess the eyes of eagle for picking out details ;).

Assumption is the mother of all f^ckups. Never assume GN will hand you a plate of goodies. As you buy in, make sure you ask for the signs of NMS, LS, and bj rules for its $25 bj game. By the way, I did assume all bj games in the highroller pit were NMS. I was wrong--- A Latino girl hopped into my game in progress, bought in for $50, and walked away with a $750 profit by the end of the "hot shoe". Good luck.
