Default Bet capper caught

Just about every aspect of this story is unimpressive:

Really, how long did this guy think he was going to get away with it?

What an idiot! He lost his job over this. Was it worth it to win an extra $50

He lost his job over a drunk driving arrest, several months before this.

Also; no one would be arrested merely for capping four bets in a row. It would be too hard to prosecute. Maybe he just didn't understand the rules? Maybe he thought that that's how you double down? (Not my opinion - just speculating on what his lawyer might say)

I can almost guarantee that they'd been watching and filming him for weeks.

And they waited for the dealer to either see or not see one right in front of him to verify whether or not he was in on it? Makes sense, a crooked dealer is a bigger threat than this guy.

You know, most bet cappers have some kind of move they use to hide it.

They don't just slam another chip on top of their bet.

And they don't do it when they have an 18!

Seriously? Bet capping a hand you still have a good chance of losing on? If you're risking going to jail you better be damn sure you're going to win. I'd laugh my ass off if the dealer drew 21 and he lost $ and got sent to jail.

Makes me kind of scared of the education level of police.

Oh can you count the ways this is stupid:
1) He's risking his ass for $25
2) He has an 18
3) He does it plain sight - any idiot would know they generally have this thing called surveillance in casinos. A good bet capper will do it while they had a blackjack or double down, and do it as they pass their cards over their hand so as to shield the chip addition from the camera....oh woops i've said too much
