SugarHouse promo - 200% loss rebate

#1
SugarHouse has a good new member bonus. Play the slots for 30 minutes, and get up to $100 of your slot losses back. Play for an hour, lose $100, and get double your losses back up to $200.

Lose $100 in slots and receive $200 in free slot play after 2 weeks. You have to play for 30 minutes if you want $100 in free slot play or 60 minutes if you want $200 in free slot play, so obviously playing an hour and losing $100 will maximize your EV from this promo.

The strategy for this is to find a penny slot machine and try to let $100 last for an hour losing as little as possible. Go slow and bet 1 cent every 10 seconds, it should cost you $3.60 if you don't win anything. Then cash out and find the highest denomination machine. Insert a $100 bill in that and bet the max till you lose it all or accumulate at least $200 in credits. Then wait up to 2 weeks for a postcard in the mail. Go back and use the free slot play on a video poker machine, remembering to only cycle through $200 once. Then never go to SugarHouse again.

You can also combine this with the Delaware Park promo. For the risk averse, go to Delaware Park first to get $100 free slot play, then take the cash to SugarHouse. Then repeat after 2 weeks (the second trip will be more fun since it'll be worth about $290 in EV from both stores). Take as many people as you want, even non-gamblers, and split the winnings equally to minimize variance and keep each other company while you're sitting in front of the slot machine for the required amount of time and when you're sitting in traffic between SugarHouse and Delaware Park! $290 might not seem like much but it's more EV per hour spent working these two promotions for most of us than blackjack or poker. And it's a lot of money to most of our friends who don't gamble. And if you don't yet have a Total Rewards card, stop at Harrah's Chester and add another $20 in free slot play just for signing up.

It's definitely a great way to entertain your friends who, when you tell them you can count cards, ask you this annoying question "If I give you $100 can you turn it into $200". And it's pretty rare for land-based casinos to offer this high of a new member bonus, especially 2 of them in close proximity, so let's milk it! You have a very high edge over SugarHouse and you're freerolling Delaware Park and Harrah's Chester.

Sorry to sound ignorant... Don't play video poker often... But isn't there a set of most +ev way of playing, if I don't does that hurt lot?

Just got the SugarHouse free slot play offer in the mail, I have to go there on two different days to get $100 free slot play each day. I also got 2 $30 match play offers from Delaware Park that have to be used next week and the week after.

Hope I hit the progressive jackpot and the single number in roulette!

How did you score the match play offers from DP?

I didn't even play the table games at Delaware Park. But when I signed up for my player's card I asked if I could play table games for 30 minutes instead of the slots to activate the $200 free slot play, they told me I couldn't. Maybe they entered a note that I'm a table game player so they might be trying to lure me in with the match play offer. I also mentioned that I am a diamond member at Harrah's hoping to get an upgrade at Delaware Park. I'm the only one out of my group that got a match play offer from Delaware Park (the others I went with don't gamble and only went with me to get the free slot play)

Anyways, I'm not going to let the match play go to waste. I'll have 3 $10 match plays per visit for 2 visits. I'll either finish down $60 or up around $720 by betting each match play on a single number. Is it better for me to bet 3 at a time on #1,2,3 on the same spin, or bet just one at a time on #1 for 3 spins? I'd like the chance of winning $720 each time, no matter how remote it is, so if there's no difference in EV I'd rather bet a single number on 3 spins. If I had 38 matchplays I'd be guaranteed to win $340.

Good luck with the match plays. Unfortunately they discontinued the free slot play promotion so I'll have to find another way to free-roll there.

I have never seen such a high new member bonus at a B&M casino (Delaware Park). Once the word gets out to the non-gamblers, they would step inside for some free no-risk money and never come back, which isn't the target customer for a casino. I was able to bring someone who had never been to a casino in his life to Delaware Park, he won money and plans to never give it back.
