1 deck vs multideck
I am learning various counting strategies, mostly from Lawrence Revere's "Playing Blackjack as a business". I am just wondering if his counting strategies are the same for multi deck games as they are for single deck games.
Thanks

If you plan to play WITH an advantage you'll need to learn thr Revere Point Count - its good for any #decks and its strong. His betting and BR advice is NO GOOD - you'll need to get revised betting advice from us.
Also, do not be tempted to purchase any mail-order systems from his daughter - they are NOT good.
If you want to learn a level-1 count system that is good and doesn't require a true-count then purchase Knockout BJ by Fuchs & Vancura.

Speaking of betting advice, for 1 & 2 deck games. What betting ramp do you use for the Zen count?

Its different for different rules and pene, but it would be the same for most all level-2 counts including the ReverePC. zg

Revere says that it is necessary to learn and use the Plus minus count before attempting the Revere point count...

The Simple PM is not a winning system. What you MUST DO is fully master basic strategy (multideck) BEFORE you move to a count system.
Aside from BS, the ONLY system worth learning in PBJAAB is the RPC - in fact its the ONLY Revere system worth learning PERIOD. If you are not up for learning that level-2 true-count type system you will need another book or two, beginning with either Blackbelt in BJ or Knockout. zg
Ps - I did follow the instruction and learned the SimplePM first... it was unnecessary. The year was 1974.

Where can I find your betting advice?
Also, if single deck games are more to a counter's advantage, why do counters ever play multi-deck games?

Essentially, 1D games are rare, except in Northern Nevada. Vegas has a fair amount of 2D games. Everywhere else is mostly 6-8D.
You cannot get an accurate picture of today's games from a 30-yr old book like PBJAAB. But in the early-mid 70s it was the bible.
You probably need 2-3 more books, to start. zg

In 1D games in Northern Nevada, do players see other players' cards? In Atlantic City single deck games are offered but the cards are dealt face down.
Can you recommend 2-3 books to start, please?
