I will say thank you for your service to our country. And that's no bullshit. But again, I stress the vast difference between tipping for service and giving to charity (e.g. disabled/homeless vets). No need to get into who donates to what and for how much. Charity isn't about being recognized for giving.
That being said, we've all earned our choice to tip or not to tip. But what else did you expect telling people that you don't tip the waitress?

Save your thanks for people who deserve it. This clown once claimed he avoided casino heat by pretending to be an Iraq War vet. He suggested it was a good way to score extra comps.

Ummm no, I didn't say that I wasn't a war vet. I said that I personally enter into conversation that i'm a war vet but if a person didn't have military service but lied to a casino I wouldn't be morally indignant about it. We're talking about casinos here.
Good one Shadroch . Do you like hearing what you want to hear?

just my thoughts
I feel really nosy to get into this ,but the op is not that bad for not tipping much, because if waiter and waitress makes 200-300 ,or god forbids 500 a night in tip .i do not think it is doing justice for people that work hard and or have went to a lot of school to make $$$ 100-150 in tip is already a lot for these kind of job!!!!!I m just saying nothing wrong for every man or woman for himself or herself!!! i can understand where both side are coming from.I do think some of these people who rely on tip are really spoiled.Ask how much the guy that works in the kitchen makes.!!! or the cook ,not even 1/3 of some of these servers , but dont work any less hard.!!! p.s. i know i have no seniority in here , and probably view as dumb and ignorant ,but it is just my thought. i also see that some of you say you have this n that kind of education n knowledge n intellect , i input my opinion just to be more fair to the poster, cause i dont see him being wrong in anyway but just a bit different in the view of most people in north america.

My argument is backed by this point. A kitchen employee that didn't "have went" to school perhaps may not tip as much due to the fact he doesn't have much while the server has more but a person who makes a lot, often for sitting on his ass overseeing the real workers and made decisions that caused lost revenue and many lost jobs, saying that someone who makes less than they do yet works harder for their money is overcompensated should have their pay cut to the level of the server. They just believe life should pay them well but most others should live in poverty. The wage disparity in big companies is half the reason the economy will not recover. People with lower paying jobs will not spend the money they have while the fat cats that caused and got rich off the crash are to few to restart the economy with their spending. Lay off more "top" employees and cut the others one's salaries and give the little guys raises or higher more of them. Then you would see the economy get going again. It would help everyone but the haves just don't think of others. They only think about how they don't make as much as the few that make more.

Why do you feel the need to interject your ass backward thoughts on economics into every thread? If we wanted to read the random rantings of an economic illiterate, we could easily pickup up Glen Becks latest nonsense ourselves.

SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY!!!
Tip the god damn waitress so you can get more redbulls, that 1 dollar investment will keep you awake for another hours at least and youll get way more than 1 dollar in EV.

A lot of people barely tip
Something which drives me nuts is the lack of tipping from other players.
I'll reach my tip threshold - as a percent of my EV - and I'll have nothing left for the 3rd or 4th dealer of the hour.
Meanwhile, the other players are sitting there, not tipping. Sure, some do, but it wouldn't take much to take care of the dealers if everyone threw in $4 per hour.

This is the 3rd or 4th time you have referred to waitresses in this manner. As a veteran I would expect you would show a little more respect to women and to someone who is doing the best she can with whatever skills and talents she has.
What happened to honor and valor? The army motto is "This, We'll Defend" and what you are choosing to defend in this instance is not tipping the "POA" waitress? It sounds like your jealous of her or resent her for doing a job that is beneath you. Bring your own drinks with you to the table then you won't have stiff her and listen to her "sarcastic comments".

Chivalry is dead and women killed it. Don't blame the messenger.
Chivalry is code for benevolent sexism, and i'm not a sexist. I am an equal opportunity tipper (or non-tipper rather).
Oh the poor vegas cocktail waitresses. Lets just cut the crap. Do you even know how much these chicks make? In addition to getting tips, they get $12 an hr via union. In addition to that, they probably are almost all married up to a much wealthier guy. I don't exactly see a lot of cocktail waitresses homeless on the street, or women in general.
