I'm confused about "just don't spread 5 to 2x25 on an 8 decker." That's the "gas" I'm talking about!

He is just messing with you. You can spread $15 to $300 in the Strip. No casino will care. Some smaller casinos may start to concern and watch you when you spread $25 to $450 but most bigger ones still don't. Just don't spread higher than $100 to $2000.

They'll certainly care eventually. Just keep the sessions short.

This isn't true. When you say "No casino will care", it sounds as if you can sit there for hours and play that spread with no problems and that just is not that case at any strip casino. You can spread $25-anything under $500, at most strip casinos, for relatively short periods. (under an hour) with out much problem, but you shouldn't make a statement like "No casino will care", because there are a couple that will care and each place has different tolerance levels. There are a couple that are as sweaty as the sweaty place downtown.
Spreading $15-$300 is actually worse than spreading $25-$450. $15-$300 is going through 3 levels, red-green-black and that draws more attention than going thought 2. Even if you make your $300 bets all green, they will still pay you in black.

At $25 and $50 tables they need their greens to avoid frequent bank replenishment, so they will likely insist politely on blacks, which of course, they are closely tracking.
