The casinos are caught in the middle of a budget battle. The Gaming Commission folks who scoop off the state% are not considered "essential" so they had to stop working. Court requests for exemption failed. They closed as of 8AM Wednesday. Wouldnt you know I had a bus trip scheduled

.
My prediction on how this will play out:
Governor and legislature will continue to debate the sales tax increase and how to use the extra $ for a couple of more days. In the meantime, the legistaure will pass something that declares the casino and lottery system workers "essential." That way they can go back to work, the state gets the $1 million +/day from the casinos and the $2 million from the lottery and I get my rescheduled trip on Saturday. All will be happy.
Any bets that I'm right?
